NCU FM

NCU FM is a Jamaican general-format radio station available online through Zeno.FM, offering listeners an inspiring mix of education, wellness, information, music, and community-centered programming. Based at Northern Caribbean University in Jamaica, the station has a meaningful history that began in 1999 when it first operated as WIC Radio, serving the immediate university community. After the institution became Northern Caribbean University, the station continued to grow and eventually expanded its reach beyond campus.

In 2001, NCU applied for an all-island commercial radio license, which was granted in March 2009. By November 2010, the station began islandwide transmission and became known as NCU FM, proudly recognized as “Your Education and Wellness Station.” This identity reflects its commitment to programming that supports learning, healthy living, positive values, and meaningful public service.

NCU FM is ideal for listeners who want radio that informs, uplifts, and connects with everyday life. Its programming may include educational discussions, wellness features, community updates, music, interviews, lifestyle content, and conversations that reflect the needs and interests of Jamaican audiences.

NCU FM is accessible not only to listeners in Jamaica but also to Jamaicans and supporters around the world. Whether tuning in from home, work, school, or abroad, audiences can enjoy the station from a mobile device, computer, or the Zeno app.

The station’s Zeno.FM page also features podcast content such as Cruisin, First Light, and The Drive, giving listeners additional ways to stay connected beyond the live broadcast.
